Podcast 33 - Magickal Experimentation with Taylor Ellwood
In this episode, Taylor Ellwood, magician and writer, joins us to talk about his innovative and experimental magickal practices. As part of our conversation, we discuss his alchemical workings, a process that involves the inner laboratory and its transmutation in his book, “Inner Alchemy: Energy Work and the Magic of the Body.”

Taylor also discusses his experimental attitude towards magick, especially with regard to evocations and space / time divination. He describes several techniques that he employs, including his ideas about newer versus older archetypes, a concept that he more fully explores in his book, “Pop Culture Magick.”

Experimentation and innovation are important to the evolution of magickal practice, as Taylor notes. Keep an eye open as he continues to explore uncharted territory.

“They err who speak of my changelessness in essence
As if it were fixity in operation.
That which changeth is not mine own nature,
But this includeth the possibility
Of infinite diversity in ways and works.”-Paul Foster Case, from “The Meditation on Beth” in “The Book of Tokens”
