    Visit The Great Work

In Memoriam K.D.B.

August 5th, 2008 by rochester92

It is with great sadness that I regret to have to inform you of the passing of our good friend Kent Daniel Bentkowski a.k.a. Kentroversy. Kent was an exceptional researcher, writer, and investigator of the para-political as well as the spiritual and magical. His web sites The Kentroversy Papers and The Kentroversy Tapes made his work familiar to many. He was a guest on this show numerous times and I also appeared on his podcast. We spoke to each other regularly and I always enjoyed spending that time with him.

Kent passed on Wednesday 30 July 2008. He is survived by his wife, young son, and sister. Kent was a good friend and accepting his passing is difficult. As many of you may have been aware, Kent was suffering recently from a number of health problems. Ultimately, he fought a lot harder and was much more courageous in the face of his condition than should be expected of anyone. Much of the time he was in pain and uncomfortable, yet he still was pleasant and able to deliver a tremendous volume of written and recorded material in a short time span. He was in the middle of working on a book about symbolism in media that was sure to have been fascinating. Kent truly was in the prime of his career. Unfortunately, we only have his legacy now, but that is no small thing. We can read his many research articles or listen to his podcasts and learn what it was that he stood for: truth, liberty, love for the people of America and the ideals of the American Revolution, exposing corruption in its many guises, and that there is more to life than just what we experience with our five senses. Kent was strong-willed, loyal, intelligent, and filled with integrity. He was opinionated and not afraid to let anyone know it.

Some of my favorite moments with Kent include “Podcast 22 - A Path to Magick” in which Kent discusses his spiritual and magical path, the “Ascended Masters Discussion” and the recent “Authentic Tradition” episode on Kent’s show. He also appears in “Podcast 3 - The Kentroversy Papers“, “Podcast 11 - Kentroversy on Talismans and Mass Media Black Magic, pt. 1“, “Podcast 15 - Kentroversy on Talismans and Mass Media Black Magic, pt. 2“, “Podcast 27 - H.P. Lovecraft Roundtable Discussion“, and “Podcast 38 - A Conversation on Ancient Egypt“.

Unbeknownst to me, in what was to be our last conversation, on Monday 28 July, Kent’s final words to me were, “Love is the Law.”

Kent, you are missed, brother, and as you said many times, “I’ll catch you on the other side.” Farewell.

See also the Red Ice Creations article on Kent’s passing that features a short audio clip of Henrik and I talking about Kentroversy and includes links to all of Kent’s recorded interviews on Red Ice Radio. There is also a forum page set up for you to share your thoughts and feelings with each other and for Kent’s son (when he is a little older).

Although I only became aware of his work somewhat recently, I feel K.D.B’s passing is a terrible loss to us all of an amazingly intelligent, courageous person. I’m glad Kent is finally free of the pain that was evident in his voice in recent recordings but he will be greatly missed.

    That is horrible news!

I woke up yesterday morning thinking of him and had a feeling he had passed or was near passing.

Had been concerned about Ken this last week in particular…and today got the news via Redice…

Sorry that his work here in the “saha-world” is over, but objectively, am sure he’s in a MUCH better place/state of consciousness now…

Kent’s site was one of the first that helped me understand the depth of the global elite families and bloodlines. I liked the carpet background on his site. He will be missed by many.

this is unfortunate news. i noticed ken’s face on the red ice website and scrolled down to see why, then i read about his passing. i’ve found all his kentroversy tapes to be either entertaining, informative for personal growth purposes, generally interesting or sometimes all 3.

best wishes to ken’s family. thank you ken!

    Thanks for this Greg!

I had left some words for Kent on his site, I went back several times to see if they had been posted so that I would know if he was still able to work…the comments I left for him never appeared, and so I can only assume that he never saw them.

    He will be missed.

  11. mindsweep Says:

Love is the law. Love under Will.

  22. David Baerwald Says:

This is shattering news. I had the honor of meeting Kent once, spoke and corresponded with him many times and was always struck by his questioning mind, his personal integrity, and his great love of the truth. He is a real loss to all of us.

  23. Andrea Says:

Extremely saddened by this news. Somehow I thought he would beat all those physical demons again. He will be sorely missed. Au revoir Kent.

  24. Synkronos23 Says:

Well I hated to hear the news of his passing. I know that he has left a small child and he is who I am sure will be most affected by his passing. Could we all try to keep his son and family in our thoughts. I know that he will be missed by all that knew him. He was a kindred spirit and respected Brother. I do hope that he will find his truth and have rest.

  25. Patti Says:

I would like to add this site to mine. Kent actually passed away Thursday the 31st not Wednesday. We had been in constant contact and talked the day before of day of his passing. I was checking some of the people Kent mentioned and found this wonderful memorial you made for Kent. Thank you from the bottom of my heart- he would be proud of what you’ve done. His wife and sister were only given Greg’s and my phone numbers to contact when he passed away or went back to the hospital. Just know he passed away at home with his wife and son and led a very full life even tho it was so dreadfully challenging and short. His work will live on- his sister will see to it. Thanks again, Greg, Patti

Synkronos, I totally agree with your comment. We are all thinking about how much WE have lost with Ken’t passing. But we forgot his son. Maybe his son will read these comments one day.

After allowing myself some time to process and think about the whole situation and read all the other notes….

((i want to tell kent’s son - if he ever does read this that - his dad was a beautifull , caring and sharing individual who never EVER stopped working for the world. Even in his most painfull times….. Your father was a legend and you should be proud !!!!!!!!!

He loved you so much and often talked about you…. many do not have this kind of background or support - you should feel safe in that knowledge.

I’ll miss him— but he’s not really gone.

    much love

    dan

  31. esther swanson Says:

    Greg

I am Kentroversy’s spiritual sister Lady Justice.
The Godmother to his son Anthony Owen. I have misplaced your phone # and we need to talk. There is so much more to add to Kentroversy’s Legacy. I was the one who got him home from the hospital, I was too late and number of things occurred that should be revealed. The final conversations we shared and his final requests for his son’s future were placed in my hands. I need all the help the truth can give. The torch was passed. Please contact me so we can continue to move forward.

  32. Ramon Thomas Says:

Kent you will be missed by everyone. I was introduced to your work through Red Ice Creations. And I want to thank them publicly for bringing you back time after time. The interview I enjoyed the most was the one where you spoke about Star Trek.
